About the Whitetip Reef Shark
A slender reef shark with white-tipped dorsal and tail fins. Unlike most requiem sharks it can rest motionless on the bottom by pumping water over its gills. Spends the day in caves and hunts at night in groups, wriggling into crevices after fish and octopuses. Usually unaggressive toward divers.
