About the Walleye
Named for its large, glassy eyes, which contain a reflective layer that helps it see in dim light. It feeds mostly at dawn, dusk, and night. A favorite of anglers and a prized food fish in Canada and the northern US. It is the provincial fish of Manitoba and the state fish of Minnesota.
