About the Wahoo

A long, torpedo-shaped relative of mackerel with blue tiger stripes. One of the fastest fish in the sea, famous among anglers for blistering runs. Its razor-sharp teeth can bite through fishing line. Usually solitary or found in loose groups. Its firm white flesh is popular in Hawaii, where it is called ono.
