About the Sea Lamprey
A jawless fish with a round, sucker-like mouth full of horny teeth. It attaches to other fish and feeds on their blood and tissue. After canals opened the Great Lakes to it, it devastated lake trout fisheries in the twentieth century. Lamprey lineages date back hundreds of millions of years.
