About the Largetooth Sawfish
A ray, not a shark, with a long, flat, toothed snout called a rostrum. It slashes the rostrum through schools of fish and uses it to sense the electric fields of prey. Lives in coastal waters, estuaries, and far up rivers. The rostrum easily tangles in nets, a major reason for its decline.
