Huchen

About the Huchen

Also called the Danube salmon, one of the largest salmonids in the world. It spends its whole life in fast, cold rivers and does not migrate to the sea. A top predator that eats fish, frogs, and even small mammals. River dams and pollution have greatly reduced its range.
