About the Black Marlin
One of the largest bony fish, with rigid pectoral fins that cannot be folded flat against the body. The rod-and-reel record black marlin, caught off Peru in 1953, weighed over 700 kg. A legendary target of big-game fishing in Cairns, Australia. Hunts tuna and squid with its spear-like bill.
